The owners of a four-bedroom family home have recently converted the loft space where two Afinia aluminium radiators have been installed. Effectively warming the room while also complementing the style and design of the space, these Afinia radiators combine efficient functionality without compromising on appearances.
In 2020, the homeowners of a four year old semi-detached property decided to undertake a lockdown project. They wanted to gain to some more room from their home and create a new living area for their children to give them additional space to play and relax in as they got older. The project involved converting a 6m x 6m loft and today it is now transformed into a playroom for the children.
To ensure that this new large room was kept warm, two vertical six section Afinia aluminium radiators were fitted. The vertical Afinia radiators are available in two heights, 1,842mm and 2,042mm, with the former option being selected for this particular installation. The wall space available combined with the size of the room meant that the vertical Afinia models were the ideal fit and the correct size to effectively emit the required heat for the space.
Both of the radiators have also had smart thermostatic radiators valves (TRVs) fitted to them. These smart TRVs enable the homeowners to control the room temperature and output of the Afinia radiators remotely via an app. Consequently, their new Grant radiators are not only smart in style but also smart in operation as well, delivering ultimate comfort and control.
“We chose Grant Afinia radiators because we wanted something modern and clean but also efficient,” comments the homeowner. “Our home has gas central heating with solar thermal to supplement the hot water and, with the loft conversion, we took the opportunity to look at other ways that we could improve the overall efficiency of the system. We are really pleased with them, so much so that we will be replacing the radiators in the rest of the house with Afinia models in the coming months.”
