The heating schedule for a Grant Aerona air source heat pump system can be set and adjusted with ease using the Aerona Smart Controller via its touchscreen display.
During the initial setup of the Aerona Smart Heat Pump Controller, the controller’s in-built configuration tool will prompt you to configure the heating circuit(s). Once the heating circuit(s) have been configured, a default heating schedule will be applied to the circuit(s) which you can adjust at any time.
To learn more about the heat pump controller set-up process, please watch our video tutorial here. We also recommend that heat pump installers refer to the Aerona Smart Heat Pump Controller manual for further set-up support.
The preferred heating schedule of each circuit can be changed at any time after setup. On the Aerona Smart Controller’s home screen, select the timer icon (shown below) which is displayed on the left hand side of the display panel.
You can then choose the circuit you want to change by selecting the relevant circuit name. To edit the schedule, first use the arrows to select the day of the week and then select the ‘moon’ icon towards the bottom of screen. Next, hold the right bottom arrow to default the schedule to its setback value. This will reset the timer and you can now programme your new heating schedule.
To set the times you want the heating to be on, use the arrows to scroll to the correct time on the schedule. Please note, each of the blocks on the timeline represent 30 minute increments. Once you have navigated to the right time, tap the ‘sun’ icon towards the bottom of the screen to set the heating to be on at this given time. You can then use the right arrow to extend the time that you want the heating on for.
When you have reached the time that you want the heating to revert to its setback value, tap the ‘moon’ icon and then use the right arrow to move forward on the timeline, extending the time that the heating is at the setback temperature.
You can then repeat this process for any other time periods when you want the heating to come on.
Once you have set your schedule, you can copy it across to other days with ease. Simply press the ‘copy’ icon at the bottom of the screen and then select which days you want to copy the schedule to so that they follow the same heating schedule. Once you have selected the days you want to copy the schedule to, tap the green tick to return back to the heating schedule.
Once you have finished the changes that you want to make to the selected heating schedule, you can press the back arrow towards the top of the screen to return to the schedule screen where the other circuits are displayed. If you need to adjust the heating schedule of other heating circuits, select the relevant circuit name and repeat the processes detailed above. If you do not need to make any other adjustments, you can return to the heating or hot water home screens by selecting the appropriate icon on the left of the screen.
