If a fault code appears on the display screen of your Aerona³ remote heat pump controller, this will indicate that there is an error with your heat pump. Alongside the error code, a warning icon will also display on the LCD screen and the red LED on/off switch on your remote controller will flash to indicate that a fault has been detected.
A heat pump fault code on the Aerona³ remote controller will consist of a letter and a number or a straightforward ‘-’. Each code will relate to a particular part of the heat pump or system where the fault has been detected such as power supply and fuses, the fan motor or pump, the heat pump’s main PCB, temperature sensors, the compressor, and system water temperature sensors to give a few examples.
Depending on the fault, your air source heat pump will either stop working or it will not operate as efficiently and as effectively as it should. Therefore, if you notice an error code displaying on your remote controller, it is important that you notify your installer so they can assist with rectifying the fault. It is recommended that fault finding and diagnostics are carried out at the earliest opportunity after a fault code appears to prevent any issues worsening or damaging the heat pump or wider system and of course to restore your heat pump to its original efficient operation as quickly as possible.
If you have a fault or error code displaying on your Aerona³ Remote Heat Pump Controller, you can find out what the code means by referring to the Fault Finding section in the Grant Aerona³ Heat Pump installation manual.
As mentioned above, if a fault code appears on your remote controller, please contact your heat pump installer or service engineer who will be able to assist you further.
